Carolyn is a senior manager in the tax department at Steward Ingram & Cooper PLLC. Carolyn has more than 18 years of experience and she provides services to clients related to advanced tax issues including estates, trusts, gift tax, and income tax. Her experience at several of the national accounting firms has been primarily in the private client groups. Her clients appreciate her holistic approach to providing tax and financial planning services simultaneously. Her passion is helping her clients realize their personal financial goals through minimizing taxes, protecting assets, transferring wealth and providing guidance and education. She provides these services to individuals, wealthy families, key executives and business owners. She also provides independent comprehensive financial planning as an Investment Adviser Representative of Paraklete Financial, Inc.™ Her planning encompasses estate and trust planning as well as retirement and cash flow planning in conjunction with asset protection considerations and family planning needs.

Carolyn grew up on a farm in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State and holds an MBA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She became a licensed certified public accountant in 1995 and was awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1999.

DAVID A. HOGG, CPA - Technical Tax Manager

David Hogg

As a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2002, David offers Steward Ingram & Cooper’s clients comprehensive tax planning and compliance assistance for both their personal and business needs. He proudly serves a wide range of clientele from low to high net worth individuals, small businesses to multi-million dollar entities, simple to complex returns, both foreign and domestically owned companies spanning diverse industries such as real estate, manufacturing, construction, hi-tech, and health care. Drawing on his experience with complicated tax issues as well as multi-state compliance, David also manages government correspondence by working with federal, state and local taxing authorities on their specific inquiries and fairly resolving all discrepancies.

A native of Long Island, New York, David received his bachelor of business administration from Hofstra University in 1999 with a major in accounting and minor in music. After graduating, he began work with a local CPA firm in the New York City metro area. In the fall of 2005, David carried his knowledge and experience with him to Steward Ingram & Cooper PLLC where he continues to deliver a high level of service for all their clients.

STEPHANIE B. HOLT, CPA - Senior Accountant

Stephanie Holt

Stephanie began her public accounting career with Steward Ingram and Cooper PLLC in 2003. She works with a wide range of clients including medical practices, nonprofits, private schools, individuals and small businesses. Stephanie provides a variety of services such as audits, reviews, compilations, compensation planning and calculations, tax return preparation and projections, and bookkeeping and financial statement preparation. She also assists clients with general accounting and bookkeeping questions, and provides guidance and training for clients using Quickbooks software.

Stephanie grew up in Hillsborough, North Carolina, and moved to Raleigh where she attended Peace College and majored in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She then went on to complete her Masters in accounting at North Carolina State University in 2003.

Stephanie became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2004.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to James Alan Holt and they have a son, Ethan.

Stephanie served as treasurer on the board of directors for the Carolina Youth Ballet from 2005-2009.
